Cointime update: Zcash’s NU7 network upgrade activated at block height 3,543,405, leaving roughly 12,224 ZEC in the legacy Sprout privacy pool unspendable under current rules, worth about $15 million. The upgrade rejects version 4 transactions, the only format that supports spending Sprout funds. The tokens were not destroyed, and a future upgrade may restore access. NU7 also cuts the target block interval from 75 to 25 seconds and routes 60% of transaction fees out of circulation.
