SignalPlus said on Nov. 5 that a cyberattack in the early hours of Nov. 4 caused total losses of less than $82,000, with affected users to be fully reimbursed. The attackers took over a third-party vendor contact’s Telegram account, sent a fake Microsoft Teams meeting invite and infected an engineer’s device to breach the internal network. SignalPlus said it blocked the attack, had partner exchanges disable all associated API keys and paused services for a security review, expecting a phased restoration within days.

Polygon governance proposal PIP-93 would consolidate its existing security council and multisig structure and let Polygon Labs propose bridge and staking contract upgrades through a separate multisig, subject to a 7-day delay. The new security council would have 11 signers from 10 institutions with an 8-of-11 threshold, able to cancel queued transactions and propose and immediately execute changes. A Polygon Labs operations multisig with a 5-of-9 threshold could not bypass the upgrade delay. The proposal remains a draft, with details due at a November 5 governance call.

DeFi blogger Ignas (@DefiIgnas) said Polymarket’s trading volume has been roughly flat all year despite the recent midterm elections, while active wallets, open interest and trade counts are all declining. Election-related volume is tiny compared with sports and crypto markets and users are mostly speculators, making perpetual futures attractive to Polymarket, he said, adding he would rather the platform improve its prediction-market product and leave perps to HL, Lighter and Variational. Kalshi was excluded from his data due to anomalous wash-trading figures.
