Cointime reports: Citi strategist Daniel Tobon said on November 5 that any dollar weakness following the US midterm elections will be short-lived, with market focus set to shift back to the Federal Reserve’s rate outlook as new economic data arrives. He cautioned against assuming a divided government leaves Trump unable to advance his agenda, noting Trump relies more on executive orders than Congress. Tobon expects the ECB to turn dovish before the Fed and sees Friday’s nonfarm payrolls report as unlikely to change the Fed’s current policy direction.
