Cointime update: French far-right National Rally leader Marine Le Pen said on November 5 that France may be unable to maintain its current level of aid to Ukraine after the country’s next presidential election, and that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should be told so directly. Speaking at a European naval defense exhibition, Le Pen noted the EU has pledged a €900 billion loan to Ukraine, with France bearing 18% of it, and said she is not fully confident the loan will be repaid. France’s presidential election is set for April 2027.
