Cointime reports: A Polymarket user placed nearly $200,000 on Pete Ricketts winning re-election on Oct. 31 and made over $77,000 after a New York Times/Siena College poll about an hour later showed Ricketts leading, Vanderbilt University researchers found. The user also made similar large trades on Kalshi and other prediction markets. Whether the user had inside information is unclear; Polymarket said it has identified the trades and is investigating, while Kalshi declined to comment.
