Riot’s Corsicana Lease With Anthropic Takes Effect, Includes 12% Interest Fallback

Cointime update: Riot Platforms’ Corsicana data center lease with Anthropic took effect on Nov. 4. The agreement is expected to provide 910 MW of critical IT load capacity. Riot will reimburse Anthropic for part of the data center module costs at up to $4 million per MW if it secures reasonably acceptable market-condition financing; otherwise, it will amortize the cost plus 12% annual interest through rent credits. The project will be delivered in three phases, with first capacity targeted for June 28, 2027.
