Cointime update: NIO founder Li Bin and Geely Holding Group chairman Li Shufu discussed the mismatch between battery and vehicle lifespans at the 2026 World Internet Conference’s Wuzhen auto dialogue on November 5, Li Bin said the issue must be viewed across a vehicle’s full 15-year lifecycle rather than ignored. The conversation was the two executives’ first public dialogue since NIO and Geely signed a battery charging and swapping strategic cooperation agreement on September 28.
