Douyin Removes Over 10,000 Fake Staged Videos Daily This Year

Cointime update: Douyin has been removing more than 10,000 pieces of staged or fake video content per day on average this year, the platform said, as it steps up enforcement against scripted clips that impersonate vulnerable groups, stage conflicts or incite division. Depending on the content and severity, Douyin applies labels, restricts distribution or takes posts down, and it has penalized more than 6,000 violating accounts in total.
