Cointime update: AstraZeneca announced at the ninth China International Import Expo that it has established AstraZeneca Cell Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in Shanghai’s Lingang area, completing its end-to-end cell therapy footprint in China from R&D to commercial manufacturing and supporting supply to Chinese and Asian markets. The company also began construction on an upgrade to a new drug development and supply building at its Wuxi manufacturing and supply base, investing nearly RMB 200 million to boost production and global supply of innovative cardiovascular medicines.
