Cointime update: Apple plans to raise about $7 billion through its first investment-grade bond sale in more than a year, with proceeds earmarked for general corporate purposes including share buybacks, dividends and capital expenditure. The iPhone maker is issuing seven tranches with maturities ranging from two to 10 years, and the final size may still be adjusted based on investor demand. Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan are arranging the deal.
