Cointime update: Amazon rolled out a text-based shopping feature through Alexa on Nov. 6, letting users search and compare products, track promotions and price changes, and have “Alexa for Shopping” complete purchases on their behalf. The feature is initially available to a small group of invited US users, with a broader rollout expected in the coming weeks. The launch follows Amazon’s blocking of Meta’s AI shopping agent Muse from its platform and an ongoing lawsuit with Perplexity over its Comet agent.
