Mercado Pago halts crypto transfers, deposits delayed

Cointime update: Mercado Pago, the payments arm of Latin American e-commerce group Mercado Libre, told users in-app on Friday that crypto transfers were unavailable and deposits would be delayed due to system instability, saying it was working on a fix. Brazil’s Nubank also paused crypto deposits and withdrawals the same day, citing a failure at an external data provider, while saying trading and other crypto services were operating normally. Neither firm confirmed whether the outages were related.
