Nubank, Mercado Pago Restrict Crypto Transfers in Brazil After Provider Breach

Cointime update: Nubank has temporarily suspended cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals in Brazil after an issue with an external service provider, while other crypto products continue to operate normally. Mercado Pago said a security incident at an institution providing risk monitoring and anti-money-laundering services caused unstable crypto transfers, prompting it to block some transfers to external wallets as a precaution. Both restrictions were reported on Nov. 7.
