Cointime reports: The Digital Chamber said the current version of the Clarity Act will expire when the 119th Congress ends on January 3, 2027, after Democrats won control of both chambers in the midterm elections. Passing crypto market-structure legislation in the next Congress would require resubmission and fresh negotiation, and Senate approval typically needs 60 votes. Analysts expect a restarted bill to include stricter compliance standards, stronger consumer protections and tighter DeFi oversight.
