Cointime reports: The US Federal Reserve and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency have begun contacting banks to ask whether they have seen unusual activity or service disruptions, probing potential systemic security risks after a $6.3 billion hack at Binance on November 5. Several US banks are reviewing their cybersecurity systems, and one large bank is drafting an internal report on whether to upgrade safeguards. Binance said it is in close contact with global regulators. No evidence yet shows the US banking system was affected.
