Cointime update: Binance co-founder He Yi said on Nov. 7 that Binance user UIDs are unique and cannot collide, after a user reported losing assets when transferring funds from Binance’s main platform to Binance Thailand by entering a UID directly without checking the confirmation step. He Yi and four staff helped freeze the funds and are contacting the receiving user to negotiate. She reminded users that Binance Turkey, Binance Thailand and Binance US run independent local account systems, so addresses and UIDs must be verified when withdrawing.
