Cointime reports: Chinese AI startup Moonshot AI is negotiating with emerging cloud providers operating European data centers to rent computing power from Nvidia’s advanced AI chips, aiming to sidestep US export controls on chip sales to China. Four people familiar said Moonshot held talks this year, mainly seeking Nvidia’s latest Blackwell series, with discussions touching clusters of 8,000 or more Blackwell chips deployed in Europe. Moonshot mainly intends to use the capacity for AI model inference, though it also wants training resources.
