China Publishes Mandatory National Standard for Eye and Face Protection

Cointime update: China’s State Administration for Market Regulation has approved the release of a national standard, the Technical Specification for Special Protective Performance of Eye and Face Protectors, developed under the Ministry of Emergency Management. The standard targets risks in smelting, casting and cutting operations, covering hazards including UV and infrared radiation, molten metal, droplets and flowing liquids, dust particles and thermal radiation, and sets unified technical requirements and test methods for protective performance.
