Cointime update: A federal court in the Northern District of California granted a preliminary injunction on Nov. 4 barring prediction market Kalshi and affiliate KalshiEX from offering any sports-related event contracts within the tribal lands of plaintiffs including Blue Lake Rancheria. Plaintiffs must provide Kalshi with boundary maps of the land by Nov. 13, and Kalshi must report compliance to the court within 21 days. The order is limited to the plaintiffs’ tribal lands, not a statewide or national ban.
